Today we performed the songs that we have been working on as a group. As a band, we were really happy with how our song sounded, which I think really came through in our performance. I think everything was balanced quite well, with neither Daniel nor I sounding too loud with our instruments. As singers, Katie, Taylor and I all sounded balanced and even, with everyone’s melodic line coming through strong. However, there were some areas we could improve on, according to our peers. Firstly, harmonies. Katie’s melodic line during the chorus could really benefit from some harmonies from Taylor and me(1). As a band, I think we will work on this. Secondly, we would really benefit from drums, which is something we are hoping to get for the performance. I think it would really elevate the song, giving it more rhythm and emotion. It would help significantly dynamically too. Overall, I am really happy with where we are at as a band, and I’m really excited to perform what we’ve been working on.
